I have been learning numerous prayers in latin and have found that The Choir Room series is the most helpful. The narrator enunciates slowly and clearly to make sure that the pronunciation is correct. My only suggestion would be to repeat the entire prayer straight through at the conclusion, to demonstrate how the phrases fit together and flow. But overall these videos are excellent.

Thank you so much! I am a convert, at my age I would have learned Latin either in school or catechism! My only exposure to Latin is many years singing in the choir with Latin works. My goal is to be able to pray the rosary in Latin with the same ease as I do in English. I have got the Pater Noster and Ave down pretty good. Still working on Glory be, getting there! The Fatim Prayer is missing here. Is it coming? Today I am tackling the Credo. Thank you again for this fabulous resource! God bless

It is music from the “ The Planets “, composed by Gustav Holst, specifically from the section of the planet “Jupiter “. The music from “ Jupiter “ was used as the basis of different songs, but most popularly, the hymn “ O God Beyond All Praising “.

Thank you for this. My wife and I are praying the Rosary in Latin and are learning it one prayer at a time. We have the Pater Noster down as well as the Ave Maria and Gloria. We’re now working on the Fatima Prayer. Can you pls do a video on that one? There are so many different iterations in Latin, it’s kind of confusing. Thank you!

I was taught that the letter "V" is always pronounced as a /w/; "C" is always a hard /k/; and the diphthong "AE" is pronounced /ai/. Granted, I learned Classical Latin, not Vulgate, so what the hell do I know.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but this pronunciation (Sorry if I spelled that wrong, nobody taught me how to spell it) is wrong. G in Latin is to be heard, V makes the "wh" sound and C makes the "k" sound.
